Darkest Hour is a 2017 war drama film directed by Joe Wright and written by Anthony McCarten. Set in May 1940, it stars Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill and is an account of his early days as prime minister during the Second World War and the May 1940 War Cabinet Crisis, while Nazi Germany's Wehrmacht swept across Western Europe and threatened to defeat the United Kingdom. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language comedy film directed and co-produced by Luv Ranjan. Starring Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh Nijjar, it also features Alok Nath and Ishita Raj Sharma in supporting roles and Sonnalli Seygall in cameo. The film marks the fourth collaboration between Ranjan, Aaryan and Bharucha as well as the third time Singh and Sharma collaborate with them. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety was released in India on 23 February 2018. It went onto become commercially successful.
Phantom Thread is a 2017 American historical drama film written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, and starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Lesley Manville and Vicky Krieps. Set in 1950s London, it stars Day-Lewis as an haute couture dressmaker who takes a young waitress, played by Krieps, as his muse. The film was Day-Lewis's final role before his retirement. The film is the first Anderson film shot outside the United States, with principal photography beginning in January 2017 in Lythe, England. It is Anderson's second collaboration with Day-Lewis, following There Will Be Blood (2007), and his fourth with composer Jonny Greenwood.
The Bee Gees were a music group formed in 1958, featuring brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. The three live shows were hosted by Filomena Cautela, Sílvia Alberto, Daniela Ruah and Catarina Furtado. It was the first Eurovision Song Contest held on the Atlantic coast.
