Investigations are being led by Essex Police, and involve the national authorities of the UK, Belgium, Ireland and Vietnam. Eight people have been convicted of crimes related to the incident, including four men found guilty of manslaughter; several other people were arrested.

Science Fantasy, which also appeared under the titles Impulse and SF Impulse, was a British fantasy and science fiction magazine, launched in 1950 by Nova Publications as a companion to Nova's New Worlds. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, also known by her initials AOC, is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for New York's 14th congressional district since 2019. The district includes the eastern part of the Bronx, portions of north-central Queens, and Rikers Island in New York City. She is a member of the Democratic Party.
Harvey Weinstein is a former film producer and convicted sex offender. He and his brother Bob Weinstein co-founded the entertainment company Miramax, which produced successful independent films including Sex, Lies, and Videotape (1989), The Crying Game (1992), Pulp Fiction (1994), Heavenly Creatures (1994), Flirting with Disaster (1996), and Shakespeare in Love (1998).
