The ship was buffeted by a sandstorm and blown by strong winds of up to 50 kilometres per hour, causing it to lose control. The vessel collided with the bottom of the canal and got stuck, completely obstructing the canal and preventing any vessels from passing through. At least 15 other vessels are being held at anchorages and some 150 ships are queueing to pass through the canal while the situation is being resolved. As of 26 March 2021, the vessel is still wedged in the canal.

GB News has financial backing from Discovery, Legatum and Sir Paul Marshall and has been forecast by the Financial Times to be "right-leaning". The channel has declared a commitment to impartial journalism.

The Suez Crisis, or the Second Arab–Israeli war, also called the tripartite aggression in the Arab world and Sinai War in Israel, was an invasion of Egypt in late 1956 by Israel, followed by the United Kingdom and France. The aims were to regain Western control of the Suez Canal and to remove Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser, who had just nationalised the canal. After the fighting had started, political pressure from the United States, the Soviet Union and the United Nations led to a withdrawal by the three invaders. The episode humiliated the United Kingdom and France and strengthened Nasser.

She has been a member of the Boston City Council since January 2018, representing District 7, and was selected as president of the Council in January 2020. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Janey became Boston's acting mayor upon Marty Walsh's departure from the post when confirmed as the United States Secretary of Labor. Janey's formal swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for March 24.
John Wayne Gacy was an American serial killer and sex offender known as the Killer Clown who assaulted and murdered at least 33 young men and boys. Gacy regularly performed at children's hospitals and charitable events as "Pogo the Clown" or "Patches the Clown", personas he had devised. On March 22, 2021, a mass shooting occurred at a King Soopers supermarket in Boulder, Colorado, United States. Ten people were killed, including a local police officer. Several other officers were injured. The alleged shooter, Ahmad Al Aliwi Al-Issa, was wounded by police and transported to Boulder Community Health Foothills Hospital before being moved to the Boulder County Jail.
