The Chief Minister of Maharashtra is the head of the Government of the Indian state of Maharashtra. Following elections to the Legislative Assembly, the Governor invites the party with a majority of seats to form the government and appoints the Chief Minister (CM). Jackson Women's Health Organization is a pending U.S. Supreme Court case dealing with the constitutionality of a 2018 Mississippi state law that banned abortion operations after the first 15 weeks of pregnancy.
