On May 24, 2022, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos opened fire at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, United States, killing 19 people. Earlier that day, Ramos shot and wounded his grandmother. Of the people fatally shot, 18 were children and one was a teacher. Ramos, a student at a nearby high school, was killed after a shootout with police.

The 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup will be the 23rd edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, the biennial international men's youth football championship contested by the under-20 national teams of the member associations of FIFA, since its inception in 1977 as the FIFA World Youth Championship. It will be hosted by Indonesia, which will be the first FIFA tournament hosted by the country. It will also be only the second U-20 World Cup to be held in Southeast Asia, first since 1997, and the first FIFA tournament in the region since the 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup.

Ansel Easton Adams was an American landscape photographer and environmentalist known for his black-and-white images of the American West. He helped found Group f/64, an association of photographers advocating "pure" photography which favored sharp focus and the use of the full tonal range of a photograph. He and Fred Archer developed an exacting system of image-making called the Zone System, a method of achieving a desired final print through a deeply technical understanding of how tonal range is recorded and developed in exposure, negative development, and printing. The resulting clarity and depth of such images characterized his photography.

The 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup will be the 13th edition of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, scheduled to be hosted by India during October and November 2023. This will be the first time the competition is held completely in India. Three previous editions were partially hosted there – 1987, 1996, and 2011. Originally, the tournament was scheduled to be played from 9 February to 26 March 2023, but in July 2020, the dates were moved to October and November 2023, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

SN 1604, also known as Kepler's Supernova, Kepler's Nova or Kepler's Star, was a Type Ia supernova that occurred in the Milky Way, in the constellation Ophiuchus. Appearing in 1604, it is the most recent supernova in our galaxy to have been unquestionably observed by the naked eye, occurring no farther than 6 kiloparsecs from Earth. Other roles in the film include British actors Jack Doolan and Paul Anderson and Norwegian actor Aksel Hennie. The film was shot in 2021 in Lapland.

The 2023 Night of Champions is the upcoming 10th Night of Champions professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event produced by the American promotion WWE. It will be held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. The event is scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at the Jeddah Super Dome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and will be the first Night of Champions to livestream on Peacock. This will be the ninth event that WWE will hold in Saudi Arabia under a 10-year partnership in support of Saudi Vision 2030. The event was originally announced to be held as an event titled King and Queen of the Ring, which would have revived that event series, but WWE decided to instead revive Night of Champions, which was last held in 2015.
Neatsville is an unincorporated community in Adair County, in the U.S. state of Kentucky. It is located at the junction of Kentucky Route 206 and Kentucky Route 76. Its elevation is 705 feet (215 m). For unknown reasons, the town's name was spelled as Neetsville from 1876 until 1886, when the town's post office closed. In its early history from around the 1810s to 1900, Neatsville progressively grew to become a well-established, incorporated town. It has been relocated twice through the years, once due to flooding circa 1900–1902, which decimated the town, and once in the 1960s when the Green River was impounded to make way for the Green River Reservoir.
